Dale Buckman, DNP, PMHNP-BC, AGPCNP-BC
As a Doctor of Nursing Practice and dual board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health and Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (DNP, PMHNP-BC, AGPCNP-BC), I bring both psychiatric and medical perspectives to the way I approach mental health care. I believe treatment should be thoughtful, collaborative, and personal—not simply identifying symptoms and prescribing a medication.
I specialize in adult ADHD evaluation and treatment and also work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, and sleep concerns. I have a particular interest in how ADHD can present differently throughout adulthood, including in women navigating perimenopause and menopause.
My additional training includes a Functional Psychiatry Fellowship and certification in Metabolic Psychiatry. This training has shaped the way I think about mental health. In addition to symptoms and medications, I consider sleep, nutrition, lifestyle, stress, hormonal changes, metabolic health, and other factors that may be contributing to how you feel and function. I am also well-versed in trauma-informed care and understand the importance of considering a person's experiences within the larger clinical picture.
I am particularly comfortable working with people who are hesitant about psychiatric medication. I want you to understand your options, ask questions, and have the time you need to make informed decisions.
Medication is never something I want you to feel pressured into.
My goal is to provide evidence-based psychiatric care that considers the whole person—not just the diagnosis.
